Other Information - Dates: This photograph was probably taken in December 1936 when Nepean departed Lhasa and was accompanied part of the way by Frederick Spencer Chapman. This is because the flat-bottomed Chaksam ferry could only operate in the winter months when the water levels were low [MS 28/07/2006]
