Kalon Lama. Personal name Champa Tendar. Born about 1870. A monk official and one of the four Shapes. Was formerly a Trung-yik Chhem-po (Grand Secretary) and was appointed a Shape in 1912 in place of the late Kungtang Shape. Appointed General Officer Commanding the Tibetan troops in Eastern Tibet in 1913. Resides at Chamdo. A man of strong character and much influence.
