A distant view of the Potala, taken from a mountainside to the west of Lhasa. The Pargo Kaling gateway and the lower reaches of Chakpori can be seen in the right of the image. There is some low-lying cloud in the distance and the slight haze over the village of Sho at the foot of the Potala suggests that this image could have been taken in the early morning
