Notes on print/mount - One contact print made from this negative is contained in A. J. Hopkinson's negative case with the negative. The print was made using Velox paper. 'F.44' has been written on the back of the print in pencil, as well as in the top right corner on the front of the negative [MS 11/08/2006]

Other Information - Dates: This photograph may have been taken on January 24th 1928. On this day in his journal A. J. Hopkinson commented that “I got up at about 6.30 am meaning to go up the highest mountain overlooking Gyantse to photograph, but by 7 am the whole sky was overcast with clouds” [A. J. Hopkinson Archive, OIOC British Library, Mss Eur D998/54, Journal Letters from Gyantse and Various Camps, 1927-28, commencing January 25th 1928, Gyantse, page 2]. This dating would also follow the sequence of images that appears to exist in his negative album 'F' [MS 12/08/2006]
