Other Information - Apsos, Tibetan breed of dog known popularly as Lhasa Apso. The term Apso is mostly likely to drived from Tibetan words
a ra (beard) and sob sob (soft).[TS 20/4/2005]

Other Information - Dates: Richardson seems to have acquired his first mastiff puppy in April 1937, and subsequently acquired at least one Apso dog [Hugh Richardson Archive, Bodleian Library, University of Oxford, MS Or Richardson 3 folio 84].
