Pack of mules and a group of travellers on the bank of the river Kyichu at the Ramagang ferry. The mules are loaded with rolled up bags and among the group sitting on the right is a woman with a pack on her back.

Notes on print - 'Drepung & Ramagang Ferry' is written on the reverse of print in Richardson's hand in pencil and 'Velox' in an oval is printed in black. [KC 21/3/2006]

Other Information - Dates: The contact print of this image seems to relate to others that can be attributed to this timeframe as dates written on the back include from 1946 onwards. The batch of images also include those of the new Nechung Oracle who assumed his position in 1948, and inscription pillars that HER visited only during this time [MS 17/12/2005]
