A wide, walled avenue leading to the Potala from the west. The avenue is tree-lined. This was probably the avenue which connected the Potala and the Norbu Lingka. There are some travellers with ponies in the distance heading in the direction of the Potala which can be seen in the distance in the centre of the image.
