Other Information - Place: Yatung is situated in the Chumbi Valley close to the border with Sikkim. It was a prosperous village of stone houseswith grey shingled roofs nestling at the foot of a narrow valley. A British Trade Agent was posted there as well as a platoon of Indian troops. Comprised a village, Agency, Post Office and Barracks. [KC 14/12/2005]
