Other Information - Dates: This photograph was probably taken on September 22nd 1921. Bell wrote in his Diary for that date that he visited the Lu Temple [Lukhang] behind the Potala with Tsendron, with an extensive description. He also comments that only on the 15th day of the 4th Tibetan month is the temple open to the public and that to visit at any other time requires the special permission of the Dalai Lama [Bell's Diary Vol. XIII, pp. 1-5] [MS 20/02/2006]
