Itinerant performers at Chiblung near Sakya - Mrs Hopkinson states that they were Ache Lhamo performers [see Notes]. A child in the centre wears a mask and a man on the right has a large drum. Mrs Hopkinson commented that the child in the centre fell asleep during the performanceSuch troupes would tour the country for impromptu performances. The most famous and able were invited to perform for the Tibetan aristocracy and for the Dalai Lama
