Tengoling Monastery, about 14 miles from Gyantse on the road to Shigatse. A side entrance to the red-painted main temple can be seen in the centre of the image with textile awnings at the windows. A. J. Hopkinson visited there on July 9th - 10th 1927 with Capt. Dean to see a special ceremony that was held there on the 10th and 11th days of the 5th Tibetan month [see Notes]
