A view of Gyantse as seen from the Dzong. The walls of the town, the monastery and settlements around the monastic buildings can all be seen on the right of the image. Hopkinson probably took this photograph on the afternoon of March 14th 1927 when he went to repay the calls of the two Dzongpon who had visited him previously
