Other Information - Description: Entry in Mission Diary for November 23rd 1936: "We are going as far as a village called Shingdonka, four miles to the west of Lhasa, to film the procession as it mounts the steep village street. There is much more traffic than usual today. Much of it is the Regent's baggage sent on ahead. ... // In honour of the Regent a line of stones has been put down on each side of the road, and at every few hundred yards improvised incense burners have been built of sods" ['Lhasa Mission, 1936: Diary of Events', Part IX pp. 3-4, written by Chapman] [MS 01/04/2006]
