Several hundred years old 30ft high Buddha figure, carved out of rock in Kyichu Valley, housed in a stone built shelter, 12 miles below Lhasa. The vertical lines on the figure are caused by water dripping through the roof above. Man seated at entrance shows the height of the figure. A pile of stones lies next to the entrance of the shelter.
