Other Information - Dates: At the end of August Sir Charles Bell and Robert Kennedy went on a tour of the country north of Lhasa to Reting monastery. This photograph was taken on this trip. Bell states in his Diary for August 28th that he travelled to Phondo, 7 miles from Talung and took a photograph of a hermitage on a hill whilst en route [Diary Vol. XII, pp. 41-46] [MS 17/9/2004]
