Other Information - Description: "In Lhasa the goods are exposed on stands, or laid out on the ground in front of the shops. Let us take one typical of many. In the centre are cartridges. One the near side of them are bridles and stirrups. beyond and to the right is the stall-keeper's food, a teapot, a cup, and a basket containing barley flour. One the extreme right is a large wooden chest for storing the more valuable articles. In front to the right are sacks which serve for carrying away the unsold surplus after the day's business is ended. The keeper of the stall sits on a rug of white felt behind his cartridges."
