Notes on print/mount - 'A beggar boy' has been written beneath the image in the album in pencil, apparently not by Hugh Richardson [MS 25/08/2006]
Other Information - Album: This image appears alongside 2 others on page 36 of Hugh Richardson's album 'Lhasa 1936' [MS 25/08/2006]
Manual Catalogues - Caption in Chapman's hand-written list of negatives made whilst on the Mission to Lhasa, 1936-7 [See PRM Manuscripts Collection]: 'Boy with kite'; PRM Manuscripts Collection: ‘List of Tibetan Prints and Negatives’ - Book 4: ‘12/2 - Tibetan beggar with mask’ [MS 25/08/2006]
Other Information - Related Images: Images prefixed with 'CW' comprise a group of negatives containing images of the Regent’s camp, young monk with kite, flailing corn, yaks coming down street, Pargo Kaling, yaks with loads, Kundeling. This list has been identified with the letter ‘W’ rather than CW, unlike most other lists in the archive, but relates to images prefixed with ‘CW’ in t he draft album. The list has been written in black ink, unlike the others which are written almost entirely in pencil. All the images seem to have been taken on or around October 6th and many are used to illustrate early October in the Mission Diary [MS 16/03/2006]
