Other Information - The mask dancers are characters in religious dance known as Cham, performed generally all parts of Tibet on 29th day of 12th Tibetan month. The mask dancer represents atttendants of Mahakala, wrathful deity who are regarded as the protectors of Buddhism. Generally, the mask comes in four colours, Red, Blue, Black and Green.[TS 3/2/2005]
