Richardson's 1950 Lhodrag tour
Notes on print - 'Lhobrak river above junction bridge' is written on the reverse of print. [KC 15/9/2006]
Manual Catalogues - Notes on negative index '3' - Folio. 2 'Lho-brag gorge'.
Manual Catalogues - Richardson's Hand list: 'Album no.3 [no.] 2. Gorge of Kuru Chu in Lho-brag near Lha-khang rdzong and Bhutan border. 28.5/6 North. 91.3 E. 3.4.5. do.'
Other Information - Dates: The date is derived from Richardson’s negative album No.4, the cover of which is marked with ‘Lhobrag 1950’. This case includes some images taken on other trips during this year (eg: Talung/Reting). The batch development numbers 608-615 in black ink run sequentially and the images seem all to have been developed at the same time, and were probably taken in or around this date. The 16 images with 615 printed on the backs of the contact prints seem all to have been developed as part of a batch arising from trips to Mug, Lhobrag etc in 1950. 11 were taken using a 6x4.5 film plane mask and 5 using 6.9 image exposure [MS 17/12/2005]
